You and I Construction is a unique business. Where most contractors want to do all the work themselves and don't want the homeowner to get involved, we allow you to work on your project as much or as little as you want. Many homeowners want to work with their contractor and help with the job. With You and I Construction, those homeowners are invited to get their hands dirty and help with their project. For the homeowners that want a contractor to handle the entire job without their help, You and I Construction is able to handle those jobs as well. Either way, you will get a top notch job, GUARANTEED!!!

Many contractors will overcharge for a project, spend half the hours that the project deserves, then hit the customer with an overpriced bill. You and I Construction gives you an option to pay by the hour. That way you don't pay for hours that we don't spend on the job. You get exactly what you pay for. If you want to redesign your project in the middle of the project, most contractors will be hesitant to make any changes, and if they do, they'll require change orders. With You and I Construction we don't mind when our customers change their mind. We want to make sure that you are 100% happy with your project when we are done.

We can build custom homes on your lot or ours. We currently have two lots available and are ready to build your dream home on! Call us at 443-309-0179 for more information on these lots which are located in Elk Neck Penninsula in Cecil Coutny, MD.

Here are a few questions you should ask  a potential contractor:

  • Ask if the contractor is licensed in the state you live in - A home improvement license means the contractor has passed rigorous testing and knows what the local laws require
  • Ask if the contractor is bonded - This means the contractor is liable to fix your project if it is not completed in a safe and satisfactory manor
  • Ask if the contractor is insured - If the contractor injures someone on your property, you could be liable. Make sure the contractor is insured so his insurance will cover any injuries
  • Ask for referrals from three of the most recent customers (not just from any three customers) - By talking to the three most recent customers you can find out what kind of work the contractor is performing now, not from two years ago when he might have had a great crew working with him
  • Ask if the contractor is on the job at all times - Some contractors will hire subcontractors and then leave the subcontractors on the jobsite unsupervised. You and I Construction will never leave workers on your project unsupervised!
  • Make sure your contractor is using quality products - Some contractors will buy second quality products and pass them off to the homeowner as first rate products. You and I Construction will never do that. You can feel confident that you will always get quality workmanship with quality products. We Guarantee It!

THE BOTTOM LINE . . .
If you want a contractor you can count on and that is willing to work with you, we are your contractor.  That's where
You and I Construction got our name - You and I!
